Together we are irresistible - together we count. Taking steps together we can do almost anything we choose.
Just as we have polluted our world to the edge of climate chaos we also have the resources and knowledge to save it. It comes down to what we want, what we dream of. If we choose we can make our politicians take the action needed.

Good Deeds Friday - Part 1 - Click and Give for Free!

by chrisglos @ Friday, 04. May, 2007 - 11:29:40

Each Friday I urge you to click the links below which will help others at NO cost to you. The effect this has can be enormous the more of us do it.

- If just 30 people read my post today and click on the links, then we can provide a huge amount of help.

- If each one of you then passes these details on to 5 others, then think how much more we can do. All for no more effort than a quick email and a quick click.

-------------
"why not take 1 minute to click each of the following links and by clicking on the coloured tab you can ensure that foodstuffs, books, or care is donated to each of the groups. The sponsors redirect their advertising costs to pay for the donations instead….And it costs nothing to you":

The Hunger Site
For each person who clicks the hunger site, 1.1 cups of staple food stuffs will be donated. Yesterday, 149,079 were generated.

The Breast Cancer Site
For each person who clicks, funding will be given for free mammograms. Yesterday, 12.6 women benefited where they would not otherwise have done.

The Child Health Site
For each person who clicks, vital health supplies and services will be provided for children in need. Yesterday, 1,520 kids benefited from this.

The Literacy Site
For each person who clicks, underpriviledged children in developing countries will benefit from the chance to improve their literacy. Yesterday, 831 books were provided.

The Rainforest Site
For each person who clicks, 11.4 square feet of Rain Forest can be preserved and saved. Yesterday, 1,025,794 square feet worth of Forest preservation was funded.

The Animal Rescue Site
For each person who clicks, 0.6 bowls of food plus care will be provided for animals in care. Yesterday, 133,270 bowls of food were provided.

------
It would be really great as well, if you could link this post in your 'bloglists' to get others to do their bit, and leave a comment to say ‘Ive been a good boy or girl’.
:)

Thanks

Damn, Damn and thrice Damn

Damn, Damn and thrice Damn

After a protracted round of telephone conversations last Tuesday (well over two hours), I still dont have my cable tv up and running - and they need to send out engineers yet again.

On top of that, my broadband decided to go on strike as well.

And I was reminded last night about a fantastic Grand Designs which I missed on Wednesday due to the Apprentice. I didnt realise it was also on last night (thanks gorgeous x), so was going to watch it online. But hey, you can guess the outcome of that attempt now cant you?

Its also meant I cant get on with my website. Buggeration. My target is still end of May though.

-----
To make matters worse, I could have caught Grand Designs last night, but I foolishly agreed to go out with some friends. 'Come to Blondes' she said. 'Yeah, we'll be there too' he said.
I used to like it in there - I remember some nice cosy coffees on a Monday, and the odd weekend shenanigans. But alas, it seems to have undergone some kind of reverse steps of Darwins theory of evolution.

It used to be funky - still is in its way.
It used to be full of what Id guess youd call 'the beautiful people' - still is in its way...when Im there. hee hee hee.

But Blondes its well and truly become. Plenty of bimbos with far too much make up and hair spray and denim skirtery. And my upmost pet hate in the whole world.....guys with upturned collars and enough aftershave to gas a rhino. Fuck off.

Anyway, its Friday, I shall let it go for now...for now.

Next time Im going to take a pair of scissors out I think.
